HOBE Milk Glass & Red Lucite Bead Vintage Bracelet, Mid Century

Such a pretty vintage bracelet from mid last century. A combination of tear drop and round shaped milk glass beads down the centre, each one prong set and flanked either side with two large vibrant red lucite beads encased in white mesh....almost like a rose bud ready to burst. Width of the bracelet is 4cms and length end to end is just under 18cms. (not for large wrists). It seems wrists in the 50's and 60's were smaller. There is a safety chain attached along with a firm push in clasp.

The HOBE signature is on the clasp.   Jacques Hobe began the company in Paris in the late 1800's and his son who was a master jeweller like his father brought the business to New York in the 1930's. The company was renowned for quality costume jewellery and marketed under the slogan "Jewels of Legendary Splendor" Stars of stage and screen loved to wear the Hobe brand.  Nowadays jewellery from the Hollywood glamour period is highly sought after and this gorgeous bracelet is no exception.  It is in good condition with a little wear which does not detract at all.
