Hobe 1965 Vintage Floral Spray Brooch

Hobe et Cie was founded by Jacques Hobe in France in 1887 where he had trained as a master goldsmith. He went on in business to focus on using sterling silver in his designs. His son followed in his footsteps as a master jeweller and in the 1920's moved to the United States of America where his jewellery business flourished. He went on to produce wonderful costume jewellery for the film industry and his pieces were worn by the likes of Carole Lombard and Ava Gardner. The quality of his jewellery was very impressive. This beautiful brooch which has the Hobe signature and the date 1965 is impeccable and in as good condition as the day it was made. A beautiful design with three floral heads each with centred stamens. There is a firm roll over safety clasp to the back.  It is a timeless design which can be worn with any outfit.
