These wires gracefully weave over and cradle the deep blue sapphire coloured stone settings.  It showcases large brilliant chaton rhinestones intertwined with segments of ice blue rhinestone baguettes. The crossover wires are pinned at the intersections by tiny light blue accent rhinestones giving the piece a highly dimensional textured look typical of mid century high end couture jewellery. The reverse features articulated rhodium plated link cups connected by hidden jump rings enabling the collar to lay perfectly and flexibly contour against the skin. It is finished with a classic rhinestone embellished extension chain and a J hook clasp. A rare find recently acquired from USA in excellent condition. Length of the choker style necklace is 38cms end to end. Size of the largest fully faceted sapphire blue rhinestones is 1cm x 1cm. These particular 50's necklaces were sold with a hang tag, there is no signature to the back of the necklace. That system came later. So beautiful and collectable.
