Harry Iskin Vintage Necklace
Harry Iskin was a renowned costume jewellery designer in America between the 1920's and 1953 when his company went bankrupt. He was born in England from Russian parents and had moved to the USA after the first world war. His jewellery was of a high quality meant to emulate the real gold and precious stone jewellery of the era. This lovely necklace is likely to be a piece from the late 1940's. The central floral piece has a clear rhinestone centre surrounded by ruby red rhinestones. Made with 10K gold over metal the condition for a piece that is 70 years old is remarkable. There is the HI signature to the back. The centrepiece measures 5cms x 6cms and the snake chain measures 36cms across ending with a ring clasp. A choker necklace which sits the centrepiece beautifully at the throat. Excellent condition, and gift boxed by Vintageonline.
