Hand With Flowers Vintage Brooch

$85.00 AUD

Brooches depicting hands first became fashionable in the early part of the 19th century and since that time have been revived in many different times, and produced in a variety of different materials from coral to onyx, gold, and precious metals and stones. Cartier produced some beautiful hand jewellery during the 1930's . This particular brooch is likely to be a 1940's piece. Very symbolic with the offering of hand in friendship, and the gift of friendship is offered in this particular piece with a bunch of flowers as a token of deep affection.

It is produced in gold tone metal with a spray of flowers with clear diamantes and two flower heads centred with ruby red stone. Overall dimension end to end is a substantial 8.5cms. and width across at the widest point is 4cms. In very good vintage condition with a firm roll over safety clasp to the back. Although unsigned, it is a quality piece and gift boxed by Vintageonline.
