Florenza Vintage Cameo Brooch
The Florenza Company of USA began production of costume jewellery in 1948 and went on to specialize in designs reflecting Victorian Revival and the Renaissance styles. They used gold plated metal and as well as producing for their own company also manufactured for a number of other high end jewellery designers. The Company was started by Dan Kasoff who took the name Florenza from the name of his own mother Florence. Larry Kasoff, Dan's son took over the business until he was forced to retire after an accident in 1981 and production ceased.
This lovely cameo brooch of gold plated metal has a head and shoulders picture of a vintage lady. Measurement of the brooch is 5cms x 4cms. In excellent condition, with a small safety pin on a chain attached for security. There is a roll over safety clasp to the back. Beautiful, and gift boxed by Vintageonline.
