Dior by Grosse Germany Diamante Cabochon Choker Necklace
Henkel & Grosse, founded in 1907 in Germany produced costume jewellery for both the European and American markets. In 1937 they received the highest distinction for costume jeweller, the Diplome d'Honneur at the Paris World Fair for the creative implementation of new technologies. After World War 11 the company became known simply as Grosse. In 1955 Christian Dior granted Grosse the rights for the manufacturing and distribution of its costume jewellery and since that time all Dior jewellery has the Grosse signature.
This is a very nice example of Grosse jewellery with a combination of crystal diamante, red,green and blue cabochon as a centrepiece set in to gold tone serpentine chain. Grosse Germany signature to the roll over clasp. Depth of the central caboshon is 4cms. Length of the chain end to end is 44cms including 4cm chain extension. This one also comes with the original Grosse pouch, with the following "This jewel has a copyright and is signed Grosse. Paris,New York, London, Milano, Tokyo, Pforzheim."
