Coro Vintage 1940's Vermeil Pink Rhinestone Brooch
This beautiful 1940's brooch is from a range produced by the American Company CORO in 1943, called "Stars In The Sky. It is in excellent condition, any dark spots on the photographs is simply reflection. There are three gold plated flower stems held with gold plated ribbon embellished with pink and clear rhinestones each one faceted and prong set. Coro signature to the back with a firm C clasp. The gold plating known as vermeil was a particular finish used by Coro at this time - gold plating over metal. Overall dimension is a large 9cms x 2.5cms. The 1940's was when large bold brooches became very popular to off set the austerity of the off the peg clothes available. They gave a fabulous lift to any outfit when worn high on the shoulder.
