Cara China UK Forget Me Not Brooch

The small china brooches produced post second world war embraced the nostalgia of the time. Beautifully made by hand and hand painted. Cara China Company began in 1945 and was led by William Millicent and Hilda Bridgwood. A number of other British companies also produced similar styles including the larger companies of Aynsley and Coalport. The forget me not has a special message and this lovely example is in pristine condition. Because of the fragility of china, these brooches are often chipped over the years. This one appears perfect. Measurement across is 3.5cms. A beautiful deep blue china petals with gold tone back and firm roll over safety catch.
