Barcs Vintage 60's Rhinestone Brooch

Barcs is considered the oldest producer of costume jewellery in Australia, having been started by Lilly Reid in Sydney in 1948. The family owned company is still in existence today and jewellery lines can be found in the likes of Myer and David Jones.   This lovely brooch however is distinctive in design, with an old Barcs signature to the back. It is from their earlier 1960's period. Quite substantial in size at 6cms x 6.5cms.  It is in good condition set in gold tone metal with a firm roll over safety clasp to the back.
