Art Deco Style Egyptian Revival Pendant Necklace
Egyptian style jewellery has been revived from time to time and particularly in the 1920's - 1930's period after the opening of Tutankhamun's tomb, and then again during the 1960's when the film Cleopatra was made with Elizabeth Taylor. This gorgeous art deco style necklace with Egyptian motifs is likely to be from that 1960's period, originating from an estate sale in USA. It emulates the enamelling used during earlier dates and has the scarab motif in the centre. The pendant centrepiece measures 5cms x 4.5cms. The chain necklace end to end measures a substantial 53cms, will fit all necks. The necklace is in excellent condition, gift boxed by Vintageonline. A one off special piece.
