Alphonse Mucha Art Nouveau Lady Lucite Brooch

$70.00 AUD
This lovely range of brooches in the style of Alfonse Mucha were produced in Germany during the 1970's period.  From time to time you will see them attributed on the internet to Lea Stein Paris, who also began her illustrious career around that time. That is not the case, this is a different range altogether. Alfonse Mucha became popular during the early part of the century. He was born and died in the Czech Republic 1860-1939. He had an extended work period in Paris during that time and producing a theatre poster for the performance of Sara Bernhardt in Gismonda. This proved to be the real beginning of his popularity. He painted beautiful feminine women.  This brooch measures 5cms x 4cms. There is a V shaped clasp to the back signed Western Germany. The lady figure is transfer printed beneath lucite.  Excellent condition, and gift boxed by Vintageonline.
