1950's Marcasite Vintage Screw Back Earrings

Screw back earrings were popular during the 1940's and 1950's when piercing ears became frowned upon.  During the later 1950's clip on mechanism became more popular. Screw on earrings can be very easy and comfortable to wear by releasing the mechanism as far as it will go, and then tightening up to suit.
