1940'S Reverse Carved Lucite Brooch Pin
A very pretty brooch brought back from Paris. Reverse carved lucite brooches became very popular in the 1940's. As well as being factory produced there was quite a home cottage industry going on as well. The individual components could be bought and then carved. The carving was then carefully painted to create the 3 D effect to the flowers. This one is in fabulous condition for its age with no scratches or wear shown to the clear lucite at all. The overall dimension is 6cms x 4cms. Set into an oval gold tone frame, with a C shape firm pin to the back. Just lovely, and gift boxed by Vintageonline.
