1940's Hand with Fan Brooch
During the Edwardian and Victorian era the hand symbol was very popular and produced in precious metal. As costume jewellery became more in favour it often emulated the precious jewellery of times gone by. The hand is often signified in jewellery outstretched in friendship and often given as a token of great affection. This lovely hand brooch holding a fan has a combination of clear crystal and ruby red crystal stones. The hand itself also has a small diamante "ring" Set in gold tone metal with a firm roll over safety clasp to the back.Dimension is 4.5cms across width of fan and 5cms in length.
