Attwood & Sawyer Faceted Ruby Crystal Vintage 80's Rhinestone Brooch
Attwood and Sawyer was established in 1956 in Porthcawl, Wales by Horace Attwood and his silent partner Mr. Sawyer. The company quickly gained acclaim producing high quality costume jewellery that replicated the elegance of the 18th and 19th century jewellery. Often inspired by historical designs their elegant reproductions were worn by many celebrities including the Duchess of Windsor., and actresses in shows like Dallas and Dynasty. Today their quality pieces are highly collectable. Their use of 22 carat gold plating gives a permanency to their jewellery. This lovely brooch has a central ruby rhinestone surrounded by small clear rhinestones and flanked either side with clear rhinestones set in the 22 carat gold plating. It is in perfect condition with a firm roll over safety clasp to the back, along with the A & S signature plate. Width of the central piece is 1cm and length end to end is 5cms.
