Taxco Mexican Silver Vintage Bracelet

$210.00 AUD

Four concaved silver panels make up this gorgeous silver bracelet from Taxco, Mexico. William Spratling, an American architect visited the colonial silver mining town of Taxco during the 1920's and instigated the beginning of the silver jewellery trade that has continued over the past 100 years. From the humble beginnings of Spratling working from his kitchen bench, it became a hub of jewellery production.  This lovely Taxco bracelet has a simulated fire opal centred in each panel flanked either side with a large silver bead and framed with intricate detailing. Each panel measures a little over 4cms x 3.5cms. Length end to end is 17cms with a firm push in clasp which is marked "Sterling 925 Taxco"
