1940's CORO Duette Pin
A fine example of the CORO duette pin. The mechanism was designed and patented by CORO in 1939 and became extremely popular with the 1940's girls. It meant that the pin can be separated into two pieces and each piece placed on collars, on furs, etc....commonly known as "fur clips".....or, joined as one it became one magnificent brooch to be worn on lapel, jacket, dress, and even hat. This one shows a little sign of wear.....(it is over 70 years old) but it does not detract from an overall beautiful piece. Gift boxed for giving and measuring 6cms x 4cms.
