William De Lillo 1970's Vintage Earrings
A very special pair of vintage earrings from the 1970's from the House of William De Lillo who was renowned during that period for extravagant and beautifully produced costume jewellery. Having arrived into the United States from Belgium and worked for the major couturiers of the time, Yves Saint Laurent and Chanel included he went into production under his own label. After moving to Paris the impeccable craftmanship, materials, and attention to detail built a reputable European clientele including the Duchess of Windsor. He died in 2011 after an illustrious jewellery making career. These earrings are very special, highly collectable and quite stunning. They measure a substantial 4cms across the large drop piece and the top piece measures approx. 3cms across. Each one is a combination of high quality goldtone metal set with lapus lazuli type stones flecked with gold and small dark blue crystal diamantes. The back is beautifully finished with filigreed goldtone metal. They are clip on with the De Lillo signature. In perfect condition, and gift boxed by Vintage Online for giving.
